We have purchased a 5 MW solar PV project located in New South Wales from Obton A/S, a solar PV and BESS developer based in Denmark, and Canigou Australian Solar Energy, a solar PV developer based in Hong Kong. The site has reached commercial operation following the completion of construction.
Investment Highlights
The wholesale electricity market in Australia has been liberalized for over 20 years, and the government has introduced certificates for fossil-free electricity generation. With numerous successful business cases in Australia, we believe that the experience gained from these investments can be applied to our future business activities in Japan.
Future Actions
While monitoring market trends for new investment opportunities in Australia, we are assessing from a capital recycling perspective the most effective structures to deliver investment opportunities to both domestic and international investors.
