Participation in the proof of concept for a hybrid energy storage system with battery hub leasing functionality

We will provide funding and support for the development of a hybrid energy storage system designed to offer a battery hub with leasing functionality for external users, as well as its future commercialization. This project is being carried out by NR-Power Lab Co., Ltd. ("NR-Power Lab"), a joint venture between NGK Insulators, LTD. and Ricoh Co., Ltd.
Key Objectives
In this proof of concept conducted by NR-Power Lab, two main objectives will be pursued: the installation of NAS® batteries and lithium-ion batteries to develop operational logic for an optimized hybrid system called "StorageHub", and the development of a business model for this system aimed at commercialization. To expand the compelling business concept of a hybrid energy storage system with battery hub functionality, a profitable business model is required. We aim to validate the commercial potential through this proof of concept and anticipate establishing a scalable business model.
Future Actions
We plan to continue expanding our investments in the energy storage market, which is expected to grow. In doing so, we also aim to contribute to the expansion of hybrid energy storage systems with battery hub functionality for leasing purposes.
